Welcome to
the Night Embassy
Berlin

At the NIGHT EMBASSY, the Ambassadors of the Night are hosting two-week residencies at our music and art space in the heart of Kreuzberg with day-to-night programming and events until the end of November.

We’ve handed the keys to CO:QUO x Digi-Gxl, Ghost, I x No Start No End, Peripheral IntuitionsPANSY and MOVE.UNLTD. Up next? Sweetest Taboo turns the tables at NIGHT EMBASSY with two weeks of talks, workshops, and parties, of course. Join us from 18 November.

Meet Sweetest Taboo

With Sweetest Taboo, anything goes: The newly-formed collective brings together DJs Kikelomo and Hoe__mies to start the discussions we don’t have often enough on the dancefloor. As the sixth Ambassadors of the Night, they're making room at the NIGHT EMBASSY for those who are often left dancing on their own—after all, parties are meant to be shared.

Body positivity, sobriety, and disability on the dancefloor: The topics we shy away from will be put front and centre with the help of collaborators ranging from Pxssy Palace, MISERY, and more.

Meet
AfterDark Society

The NIGHT EMBASSY is home to new directions for Berlin’s nightlife. For the AfterDark Society, we set our sights beyond our borders: We invited six artists from six countries to join us on a journey from Wolfenbüttel–the birthplace and current headquarters of Jägermeister–to Berlin, Europe’s current capital of creative expression.

Join us for the global launch of the AfterDark Society on 30 November for an exhibition, a film screening, and live performances inspired the artists’ journey across Germany - in conjunction with Sweetest Taboo's closing party.

Peripheral
Intuitions

Freedom is a feeling: The Peripheral Intuitions Society believes that boundaries between dance clubs, art institutions, and therapeutic spaces are counter productive. The collective seeks a new balance in club culture, celebrating alternative visions of the future dreamt up by those marginalised by their gender, racial, or sexual identities.

To many, Berlin’s nightlife is a collective experience, and the collective explores the capacity for creating and changing people, places, and politics. Communal healing and political action have their place in club culture, and Peripheral Intuitions is making space for both at the NIGHT EMBASSY.

For two weeks starting on 4 October, the NIGHT EMBASSY will be home to a day-to-night program that puts the focus on building a community within the city’s club culture. Warm up with a reggaeton party on the opening night, then stick around for a meditation session under crystal lights, relax with a live ASMR performance, or belt along to your favourite tracks at a karaoke session.

Browse the full program of events for Peripheral Intuitions’ residency below, and get your ticket. While admission is free, capacity is limited and only those with a ticket will be guaranteed admission.

All
About

Jägermeister is proud to present the Berlin Night Embassy scholarship program this fall. After uncovering some of the creative community's most visionary ideas for reinventing Berlin’s nightlife, six Ambassadors with the boldest ideas in the city were chosen.

As Pansy, Ghost, I x No Start No End, Peripheral Intuitions, MOVE.UNLTD, CO:QUO x Digi-Gxl, and Sweetest Taboo, the Ambassadors come from around the world, but share a common love for the city’s nightlife. We’re also giving them a blank canvas to explore their chosen topics and concepts with the support of the NIGHT EMBASSY Creative Board, five renowned figures known for their contributions to Berlin’s club and music culture: Lutz Leichsenring, executive member of the Berlin Club Commission; music journalist Christine Kakaire; Dimitri Hegemann, Berlin club luminary and founder of Tresor; Linnea Palmestal, DJ, activist and founder of women’s, trans and non-binary collective No Shade; and Bernard Koomson, DJ and founder of artist collective deadHYPE. Under the curatorial direction of each ambassador, the NIGHT EMBASSY will also be a public showcase of their work, putting them in charge of a day-to-night program with collaborators and mediums of their choice.

Starting on September 6, they’re given a blank canvas and a two-week residencies in our custom-built modular art and music space in the heart of Kreuzberg to explore new creative directions in Berlin's nightlife through day-to-night programming ranging from workshops, film screenings, performances, and parties, of course.

https://youtu.be/qypU_yIrZzA

The NIGHT EMBASSY draws inspiration from both Jägermeister’s own heritage of irreverent perfectionism and the freeform creativity of Berlin’s long-standing nightlife and art scene. As such, Jägermeister welcomes artists based in Berlin from any background, age and level of experience: The NIGHT EMBASSY is open to all bold thinkers committed to bringing their ideas to life. Our selected projects shine a light on new possibilities for artforms connected to club culture, and foster a strong sense of community.

Each residency will be tailored to the experience of its participants. With educational lectures, hands-on workshops and expert guidance to help cultivate their career in the arts and onwards, the program aims to equip each ambassador with the inspiration, technical know-how and practical support to transform their creative practice and redefine Berlin’s nightlife.

The NIGHT EMBASSY Creative Board Members

Each Ambassador has also received the support of the NIGHT EMBASSY Creative Board, five renowned figures known for their contributions to Berlin’s club and music culture.

Lutz Leichsenring
As the founder of The Creative Footprint and executive board member of the Berlin Club Commission,  Lutz Leichsenring has dedicated his life to building, promoting and protecting Berlin’s nightlife.

Christine Kakaire
Christine Kakaire’s experience in the music industry is unparalleled: The writer and presenter has worked across Sydney, London and Berlin for publications and organisations ranging from Pitchfork and Resident Advisor to Google Play and Boiler Room.

Linnéa Palmestål
A DJ and activist by trade, Linnéa Palmestål has spent years building a better and more inclusive club culture with her networks in Berlin as the founder of women’s, trans and non-binary collective No Shade.

Dimitri Hegemann
Dimitri Hegemann’s name is synonymous with Berlin’s nightlife: The club luminary founded Tresor shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the rest is history.

Bernard Koomson
The sneakerhead-turned-DJ Bernard Koomson brings together music and video art with his collective deadHYPE.
