Digi-Gxl presents FLUID + Exhibition Opening
Imagine a future without hard binaries, just free-flowing energy instead: A future that is more felt than it is thought through, more experienced than planned, and more intuitive than structured. Embrace the ambiguity: On 7 September, Digi-Gxl presents FLUID, a night of art and performance.
The night starts with an exhibition of artworks from Digi-Gxl’s extensive global network of womxn, trans, and non-binary people who specialize in 3D design and animation. As the night falls, live performances and DJ sets will take center stage at NIGHT EMBASSY for a night that champions sex positivity and sensual expression. Stay late for a workshop with Ash Higginson of Sweaty Bush on how to make natural lube, or let Nickelly Garbaje of s0000ftcore leave a lasting impression on your body at the tattoo booth.
The night will be soundtracked by genre-fluid beats including downtempo tracks, Brazilian-influenced beats, and dark techno from DJs URUBU Marinka (Voodoohop), Paty Vapor (Blum), Kupalua (Voodoohop) and Nnamael (Sweaty Bush)—everyone is invited to take part. However, the residency is a safe space to cultivate communal knowledge and share experiences: Respect is a must, as is sex-positivity and open-mindedness.
The event is free of charge, but capacity is limited. Admission is only guaranteed with a digital ticket, so be sure to download yours today to save your spot.
VOODOOHOP is an outlandish art collective born from a series of underground parties. DJs, performers, dancers and visual artists create a multi sensory tropical cabaret together. Brazilian traditions and heritage mix with ritualistic performance. Nomadic in nature, the collective transforms spaces from abandoned buildings to natural hideaways. Always experimenting Voodoohop is in constant flux.
About Sweaty Bush
Sweaty Bush is party series focused on consciousness and a sensual techno-driven experience that was founded by female members of Kepler 452b for female, trans, and non-binary denizens of the club scene. They promote musical lineups, exhibit artists, and limit entrance to those who identify as female, trans, and non-binary to address gender inequality in the techno-art scene. Through gatherings like this, they aim to tie knots that won’t break. The group creates connections based on love and mutual respect, and they encourage pride in who–and what–we are.
Digi-Gxl is an inclusive, 24/7 global community and support network championing womxn, trans folk and non-binary people who specialize in 3D design and animation. As a community we offer each other technical guidance, industry and business advice, and general creative support. We collaborate, organise meet-ups, skill shares, and curate shows together.
CO:QUO x Digi-Gxl aim to offer an inclusive and safe space for all. Please be mindful of the following at our events:
- No racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, or any form of intolerance will be permitted.
- Always ask pronouns, never assume. If in doubt, use ‘they/them’ but please prioritize asking the person for their pronouns.
- If at any point you feel unsafe or experience any kind of harassment, notify staff immediately.
